Pinterest: Buffalo Chicken Bites

I love buffalo chicken wings..I love buffalo chicken dip..I love buffalo sauce.

So you can imagine how excited I was to try What's Cookin, Chicago's Buffalo Chicken Bites recipe that I found via Pinterest.

Of course, I did tweek it a bit. I used Ranch dressing instead of blue cheese dressing and I used my favorite very versatile pizza dough recipe for the breading.

These turned out fantastic! I will definitely be making them again soon. I have a couple of whole chickens in the freezer waiting to be cooked and shredded!!

Pinterest: Hair Bows

It has only taken 13 years, but I finally can make hair bows.

That look good.

And don't take me hours.

I could have "Googled" these tutorials, but somehow finding them on Pinterest just seems nicer.

The first and by far the easiest and cheapest that I made were found on Sew.Craft.Create. via Pinterest.

Seriously, you can make several from one piece of $0.29 piece of felt from Michaels.

I opened up a new Etsy shop called Carolina Bows and More. Fun, right?!

I named it that because any money will go towards our South Carolina vacations. I totally heart South Carolina..would live there if I could.

We just recently decided to go again this year in May..we will actually be there for our 15th wedding anniversary!! How exciting is that!

My daughter also asked to put some her potholders she made on there too..she did a really good job on them, I may have to buy them myself!

Pinterest Recipe: Strawberry and Chocolate Nachos

Last week I shared with you the apple nachos I made and how wonderful they were...remember??

Well, this week...ok, actually today, I made strawberry and chocolate nachos.

Oh my goodness were they ever so yummy!!

To add to the wonderfulness they were easy to make. The only baking involved in this dessert is really just the baked cinnamon chips which are made out of tortilla shells.

NEW: Pinterest Fridays

It's no secret that I totally love Pinterest.

My neice, Amber, was the one who sent me my invite.

Isn't she so beautiful!

I have thanked her several a million times for introducing me to my new love.

And come to find out she loves it too!!

So we decided that Fridays will now be Pinterest Friday. We will get together and make one recipe and one craft together. Then later that afternoon I will blog about them.

We were supposed to start today, buuuuut someone (not me) has the stomach flu.

I was just too excited to not do anything though, so while my youngest was at preschool, I decided to make Buffalo Chicken Bites.

I tweeked the recipe a little (I know I probably should not have after the Earthquake Cake disaster) but thankfully they turned out wonderful!!

Earthquake Cake = Pinterest Fail

Tell me that just doesn't look heavenly.

Tell me and I won't believe you!!

When I came across this recipe on Pinterest and realized that I had all of the ingredients (ok I didn't have enough butter and had to pick some up) I could not wait to make it.

I bragged about my new chocolate recipe to my sister and my neice..chocoholics. We are all chocoholics.

I promised I would save them a piece.

You can imagine my disappointment when it was a FAIL.

I made my two mixes.

I spooned my cream cheese mixture, just how I was supposed to.

But it tasted just like a regular old chocolate cake. Not that chocolate cakes taste bad or anything, but you know I was waiting for my earth to quake or quiver or something.

NAH DAH!

I went back over the way I made it..

I did omit the coconut..we I don't do coconut.

I did omit the peanuts..I wanted my kids to be able to take a slither in their lunches and they attend a peanut free school.

I did have some left over cream cheese mixture...I was just sure that the original baker must have been smokin' something, I mean where on earth was I going to put ALL of that cream cheese in my 9x13 pan.

And that is the moment I understood why it didn't turn out like hers at Ideas Come From Brownies.

I should have followed her complete directions. So technically it is not a Pinterest fail, but a Penny fail.

However my family appears to have enjoyed my "failure".
